Child Nutrition Director Dana Bigham and Assistant Director Dustin McHale

The Victoria ISD Child Nutrition Director and Assistant Director have earned certificates in Food Service Management through the Texas Association for School Nutrition Director’s Academy.

Director Dana Bigham and Assistant Director Dustin McHale completed 32 classroom hours of training to earn the certificates. The Texas School Food Service Foundation developed the Academy to expand the association's continuing education program. The Academy is designed to provide the practical business skills for school food service administration.

Bigham has been employed in VISD since 1996.  McHale joined the District in 2000.

The Child Nutrition Department serves, on average, almost ten thousand lunches each day and over 3100 breakfasts each day in a total of 25 cafeterias across the school district.  In addition to the complete lunch meals, on the high school level, guest vendors sell, on average, another 1250 students each day.
